Saint Agur Blue Cheese wheel
Produced in the small French village of Beauzac in Auvergne, the Saint Agur Blue Cheese Wheel is a rich, creamy cheese with a mild blue flavor. Made from cow’s milk and ripened for at least two months, this decadent pick works fantastic as a spread on a variety of fruit slices, as well as on some French or raisin bread. Weighing in at 60% butterfat, it also melts well in sauces or on top of steak.
Over time, Saint Agur has become one of the most popular cheeses in France, as well as a hit in the UK. Each five-pound octagonal wheel requires about five gallons of cow’s milk for production and contains 60 percent buttercream, thus qualifying it a double-cream cheese.
A true Blue character with a buttery finish.
Saint Agur goes perfectly with many wines like Brouilly, Jurancon, Porto, Chardonnay, Syrah or Banyuls and fruits such as walnuts, pears and figs.
Pair it with a chardonnay, a syrah, or a port.
Pasteurized Cow’s Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Penicillium Roqueforti, Animal Rennet. Contains MILK.
